AWD stands for All-Wheel Drive, meaning the bike has one motor on each wheel (front and rear). AWD is an internationally recognized term, and while European manufacturers and consumers also use it, it is not as standardized as in the automotive industry. More often, localized European expressions tend to describe it as "dual-motor" or "2WD" (2-wheel drive).
By definition, Dual-Motor is a broader term—any e-bike with two motors can be called a Dual-Motor, regardless of their placement (e.g., a mid-drive + hub motor combo could also be labeled Dual-Motor).
On the other hand, AWD is more precise—it must mean one motor on the front wheel and one on the rear.
Thus, an AWD e-bike is always a dual-motor bike (with one motor per wheel), but a dual-motor e-bike is not necessarily AWD (e.g., dual rear motors).
Since AWD is an abbreviation, and to avoid confusion among consumers on e-bike websites, we prefer to include "Dual Motor" or "Dual-Motor" in the description. This makes it immediately clear from the title that the bike has two motors, not just one.
For the BURCHDA HC26 AWD and BURCHDA RX80 AWD, they are both AWD e-bikes and Dual-Motor e-bikes.
